1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MyTring (the "Service", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using MyTring, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy below.

If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use MyTring. We do not knowingly offer the Service to children below that age.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the profile information you add, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for all activity that happens through your account.

3. What MyTring Does

MyTring lets you create digital business-card profiles, share them via QR code, NFC tap, or wallet pass, save other people's cards when you scan them, and optionally enable features like birthday reminders, proximity-based reconnect alerts, mutual-connection suggestions, and AI-assisted search, bios, and contact enrichment.

Features like background location (Reconnect) or AI processing are optional and only run when you turn them on or invoke them; disabling a feature stops that processing going forward.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Service to harass, impersonate, or deceive others; scan or save someone's card without their consent to the in-person/QR exchange; upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; attempt to access another user's account or data; or reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's normal operation.

Profile photos containing nudity, sexual content, or violent or graphic imagery are not allowed and will be removed; repeated attempts may result in account suspension. We use automated screening to help catch this content before it's shown to other users.

You agree not to trespass on another person's privacy — including photographing, recording, or sharing someone without their consent, contacting or attempting to identify someone from incidental information, or otherwise using the Service in a way that harasses, stalks, or intimidates another user.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the profile information, photos, and notes you add to MyTring ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you (e.g. rendering your QR code, generating a wallet pass, or running an AI search you requested).

You confirm you have the right to share any contact details, photos, or notes about other people that you add to the Service, and that you will only do so consistent with your relationship with them.

6. Third-Party Services

Some features rely on third-party providers acting on our instructions — see "Who We Share Your Data With" in the Privacy Policy below for the full list. Sign-in via Google or Apple, push notifications, and wallet pass generation are also subject to those providers' own terms.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

MyTring is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans or in-app purchases in the future, we will present pricing and billing terms before you pay anything, and this section will be updated accordingly.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that AI-generated suggestions, bios, drafts, or enrichment results are accurate, complete, or appropriate for every situation — please review them before relying on or sharing them.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyTring is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where applicable).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MyTring harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings -> Delete account — see "Data Retention & Deletion" below for exactly what happens to your data when you do. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law in your country of residence to the extent that law gives you mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived (this is required for EU, UK, and Indian users in particular). For any matters not covered by mandatory local protections, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

We encourage you to contact us first at support@mytring.com so we can try to resolve any concern directly before pursuing other remedies.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use MyTring after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
